The EBSI-NE Project will set up EBSI technical support services in 15 European countries
Zagreb, 19 March 2025 - The Croatian Academy of Engineering (HATZ) and the Inštitut Rustje Bošković (RBI), EBSI-NE partners, announced the EBSI National Competence Centre during the National Forum: Croatia in the 5th Industrial Revolution.

The forum took place at the Zagreb Innovation Centre (ZICER) and was organised by the Institute for Industry 5.0, in collaboration with ZICER, the RBI, Hashnet, Cotrugli Business School, Naprej Institute, the Association of Multitasking Managers – Business Club, AI&Gaming EDIH, Educatorium, and several other partner organisations.
This important gathering served as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic alignment around the opportunities and challenges posed by the emerging Industry 5.0 paradigm — a vision that places human-centered innovation, sustainability, and resilience at the core of industrial development.
A particularly noteworthy moment of the forum was the presentation of the EBSI National Competence Center, a milestone in Croatia’s participation in the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) initiative. The Competence Center aims to serve as a hub for expertise, innovation, and cross-sectoral collaboration in leveraging blockchain technologies for secure, transparent, and citizen-focused digital services. HATZ recognises the importance of this initiative in shaping future-proof, trustworthy infrastructure that supports both economic growth and societal well-being.
Throughout the forum, participants engaged in vibrant discussions on best practices, ongoing projects, and policy directions that will inform Croatia’s transition into the next industrial era.
